COMMERCIAL FAN CLEANING
An extraction fan is a key component of your extraction ducting system. As the fan creates the suction through the ducting it works like a hoover, but on a bigger scale. It will suck any of the grease, moisture, condensation and air from the room which it is placed above. The reason why it is placed above the cooking equipment is that it will suck all of the particles out of the kitchen and extract them into the air. As it goes through this process, the filters come into action and these need to be cleaned on a regular basis. A large percentage of the contaminated air will continue to lie around the fan. This means that the fan will have to be cleaned, depending on cooking schedules, every three to six months or on an annual basis.
If the fan is not cleaned on a regular basis then all of the greasy residual substances will build up around the fan blades and the motor and then become a potential fire risk and the fan will cease to operate efficiently.
